The writers and director of the stage play did an amazing job by bringing a sensitive and dark topic to the stage very tastefully during Sexual Assault Awareness month. The play is Broadway caliber and rides on the shoulders of the #MeToo movement.

LOS ANGELES, CA, May 23, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — On Friday, April 20, authors Veronica Loving and Jazzmine Jackson of the self-published memoir “Feeding A Monster” amazed audiences during the opening premiere with their stage play adaptation of the book. The stage play was unlike any other play that addressed sexual assault. It followed the real-life story of Loving and Jackson who were victims of a masked predator who happened to be the husband, father, and athlete of the mother and daughter duo.

During the opening premiere, many local celebrities filled the theatre in support of the evening’s theme “Standing with Survivors of Sexual Assault.” Celebrities in attendance included Garrett Morris (The Jamie Foxx Show), Roger Mosley (Magnum P.I.), Glynn Turman (A Different World; House of Lies; Queen Sugar), Ralph Farquhar (Moesha; Married With Children), Rahvaunia (ABC’s For The People), Neko Sparks (The Woods), Ty Granderson Jones (ER), Judyann Elder (Family Time; Martin), John Cothran (Murder In The First), Petri Bryd (Daytime Emmy Award Show Judge Judy), Janeshia-Adams Ginyard (Black Panther), Diana Popick (All Wrong; Criminal Minds), Thomas Wright (Fruitville Station), Cal Bennett (Saxophonist), and many others.

For three weeks, audiences packed sold-out shows at the Hudson Theatre in Los Angeles. Each actor in the play embodied their roles, doing an amazing job by bringing a sensitive and dark topic to the stage very tastefully. The emotions of the play were very powerful and showed the transition of the victims as they made their journey to wholeness. The cast included actors Fayley Patrice as Veronica Loving, DeJuan Christopher as Kenneth Crockom, Doyin Domingo as Jazzmine Jackson, Conisha Wade-Dorsey as Rhea, and Andre K. Jefferson as Eli.

Loving (author/writer/producer) and LaDarrion Williams (writer) were able to adequately display a number of multi-dimensional events in a short play. Actor, Art Evans who caught the attention of moviegoers in ‘Die Hard 2’ joined the stage play as a director and captured the essence of the play that the audience found outstanding. Evans credits include The Amen Corner, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Ruthless People, Jo Jo Dancer, Hill Street Blues, Texas Ranger, M*A*S*H, In The Heat Of The Night, to name a few.
