Painted in a signature Ferrari red, this engineering marvel celebrates the 90th anniversary of Scuderia Ferrari while redefining what’s possible on four wheels.

The SF90 Stradale is Ferrari’s first-ever Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), blending traditional muscle with cutting-edge electrification. Underneath its sculpted aluminum skin lies a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter F154 FA V8 engine and three electric motors—two up front and one nestled at the rear between the engine and gearbox. Together, they unleash a staggering 986 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, channeled to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Designed with racing DNA, the SF90’s powertrain is a masterclass in performance integration. The regenerative braking system is controlled by a brake-by-wire setup that precisely splits force between the carbon-ceramic hydraulic brakes—painted in bold red—and the electric motors. Meanwhile, the electronic Side Slip Control (eSSC) and electric traction control (eTC) systems dynamically distribute torque to individual corners for mind-bending grip.

Inside the SF90, form meets function. The carbon-fiber- and leather-trimmed steering wheel is loaded with Ferrari’s signature manettino driving-mode selector, shift lights, paddle shifters, and an engine-start button. A digital instrument cluster and head-up display immerse the driver in real-time performance data.

Even the cooling systems are a feat of engineering. The engine bay is meticulously designed to manage temperatures nearing 900°C, while housing sensitive battery, inverter, and electronic components. A 7.9-kWh lithium-ion battery pack sits between the engine and the carbon-fiber cabin bulkhead, further enhancing the car’s balance and efficiency.
